Mojo Monday - Out with the old, and in with the new!

Good Monday Morning! I hope everyone enjoyed the Black WEEKEND sale in the shoppe, and indeed in the real world...there were some fantastic deals!

As December closes in, since I started scrapbooking in 2004, I have found myself panicking about getting last Christmas' photos scrapped before new ones appear...and what better time to do them than with the release of hundreds of gorgeous holiday kits hitting digiland at this time of year? Take a look at the gorgeous holiday products from our very own ScrapArtist designers...

It's probably obvious by now that I'm going to challenge YOU to scrap your photos from holidays past...but as always, there IS a twist!

- You must use NON-TRADITIONAL COLOURS on your page! No red and green Christmas layouts. No blue and gold Hannukah pages. No white, blue and silver snow scenes. I want out-of-the-box colour combos!
- You must use at least THREE photos ... we're running out of time, you know!
- I want to see some JOURNALING about your holiday experiences. It'll mean a lot years down the line to have those special memories.
- If you're anything like me, you used the Black Weekend sales to stock up on all the cute ALPHAS out there. Let's see a few of them!

If you fancy joining in, post your pages to the Mojo Monday gallery and come back and post your link so we can take a peek!

Until next time,

The Digital Brew - A fun little tool for inspiration

Just a quick little tool for you for The Digital Brew this month - a word generator to give you some inspiration!  Check it out here:

Random Artistic Inspiration

You just click "get a new word" and it pops up a random word for you to get your creative mind running.  You can chose from a variety of types of words including colors, styles, emotions, actions, and more!  And, you can even Google that word to see where it leads you.  Pretty fun toy and good for those no-mojo days!

A belated Feature Friday...

Mojo Monday: Let's Be Thankful!

Happy Monday everyone!  With Thanksgiving around the corner for those of us in the US, I've been thinking a lot about being grateful for the blessings I have.  So often, I get caught up in what I don't have, or what I have but wish I didn't.  So this week's jump start is to get thankful!  Pick something that usually drives you crazy--it could be your mother-in-law, your ancient vacuum cleaner that weighs a ton, that gray hair right in front, the stupid thing you said in 3rd grade that you still get teased about, anything you find yourself wishing you could change!  I chose to journal about my carpet.  It's pretty old and is three different (not pretty) colors.  I think I've complained about it almost every day for years, so I thought it would be great if I could find something about it to be thankful for.

Here's the layout I did (click to read the journaling and see the credits):

Alwaysbethankful_2

And here's a freebie for you (click to download the full-size version)!

Thankful

Don't forget to post your layouts in the Mojo Monday Gallery!  I can't wait to see what you are thankful for!
