Guest Creative Goddess Scraplifts

There were so many beautiful lifts in the gallery the past 2 weeks. Thank you so much for playing with us. Vendy’s gallery is truly filled with so much eye candy. And I enjoyed looking at all the lifts and seeing how each one was inspired. There were several that lifted the same page but their final LO’s still had their own distinct looks.

It was also so nice to see some of Vendy’s designs in action. I loved seeing her realistic looking elements/designs in some of the layouts.

Suzy, Mic and I had the pleasure of lifting Vendy and here are our layouts.

February Guest Creative Goddess

We welcome another guest creative goddess to the team this month. It’s always fun to get to know other creative scrap artists. They bring something new to the team. I’m sure this month’s guest will be bringing a new sweet creative energy to the team. Let’s get to know Vendy, aka Natali1 better, shall we?

1. My full name is: Vendula Sediva

2. My best friend calls me: Vendy

3. My family consists of: my little sweetheart Natali (20 months old)and my amazing hubby and me

 4. My favorite place in my home is my bed because I love sleeping and playing with my daughter in our bed .

5. My dream vacation is: I would like to visit Asia (Thailand Vietnam) once again.

6. A movie that never fails to make me cry is: Forrest Gump and A Love Story.

7. My most favorite dessert is: a fresh strawberries or blueberries or blackberries with whipped-cream.

 8. My frequent scrap subject is my little blessing (Natali) because I take a lot of photos of her and I would like to keep her growth and special moments of her life in our memories.

 9. My favorite inspiration comes from: a photo, a kit .. . it depends on my mood.

10. I have my computer set up : in my living room near my kitchen. I need to watch my small daughter playing here .

11. If I'm surfing the web I go check my emails and check my favourite digi sites.

12. I've been scrapping digitally for: 12 months.

13. My software of choice is: PC CS2.

14. My favorite element that I use on almost every layout is: frames, ribbons, swirls, flowers …. and a lot of others .

 15. I have a difficult time putting journaling on my pages.

16. I hate to journal because my English is very simple and full of mistakes

17. If I'm not scrapping, I´m designing or spending time with my little sweetheart and my hubby or reading or walking outside or playing Carcassonne or enjoying coffee break with my friends in cafeteria or …. . I would need every day has 30 hours .

18. It takes me at least two hours (usually) to complete a layout.

19. My favorite tip (scrap or photography related): playing with shadowing

20. My biggest scrap success has been: being chosen for several CTs. I´ve also started designing 4 months ago and I´m really happy people like my design.

21. I'm famous in my family for: my impulsiveness

January Guest Creative Goddess Lifts

We’ve been having a great time with this month’s guest creative goddess Sally and her lovely creations. Have you seen her hybrid projects? Between her 4 kids (and homeschooling them at that) and her music, I don’t know where she ever finds time to do these projects!

Here is Suzy’s take on it - Bubbles.

I lifted one of Sally’s pages too. I liked the simplicity of her page entitled “Home” and the theme resonated with me too.

 

My page-My Boys- did not turn out as simple and uncluttered as the original page but that’s what’s fun with scraplifting – you can choose how to use the original page as inspiration!

January Guest Creative Goddess

A new year…a new month… and a new guest creative goddess of course! This month, we have the pleasure of having Sally, aka cellomom, come play with the rest of the team. Sally & I were together in a CT for a while and she’s a real sweetheart. And she’s got a music career which I think is so cool!

Let’s get to know her even better… 

1. My full name is: Sally Keller
2. My best friend calls me: Sally   
3. My family consists of: myself, my handsome hubby and my four kiddos, Cora (13), Quentin (10), Emma (8), Lillian (5)
4. My favorite travel destination is: Colorado
5. My dream vacation is: all over Europe6. My frequent scrap subjects are my children, of courseit's all about the story, the memories and our lives!
7. My favorite inspiration comes from: everywhere!!!! I love magazines, art books, my life, Starbucks, LOL!!
8. I have my computer is set up : on my lap! I love the mobility of my laptop...
9. If I'm surfing the web I go to my digiscrapping homes and my e-mail first, always.
10. I've been scrapping digitally for (how long): nineteen months
11. My favorite element that I use on almost every layout is: a frame
12. I have a difficult time putting ribbons on my pages because they cover all the good stuff!!
13. Don't look, I'm having a little snack and it is: CHOCOLATE!!
14. If I'm not scrapping, I'm: homeschooling my kiddos, writing songs, watching football...
15. It takes me a couple of hours to complete a layout.
16. My favorite tip (scrap or photography related): learn about curves. Jessica Sprague has a fantastic tut on her BLOG about popping the highs and lows of the photo.
17. My biggest scrap success has been: being chosen for several CTs...I'm really enjoying just plain 'ole scrapping right now!
18. In 2008, I hope to write more music, perform more with my band, and journal a heck of a lot more...which will, of course, lead to scrapping! I'm addicted...let's face it!
19. Something I'm looking forward to in the new year: learning from my children, husband and God!!
20. A little known fact about me is: I collect sheep!!! All kinds!!! I just love them!!!

How in the world is it December already??  It seems like this year has just flown by but lucky for the ScrapArtist team we get to end 2007 on a great note.........with the fabulously creative and just as sweet Catherine aka chud23 as our Guest Goddess for December. I asked Catherine to share her own 3 favorite layouts ...... and to be honest I have no idea how she chose only three because they are all absolutely amazing..oops I am rambling ... back to the topic, Catherine's favorite layouts......here they are.

What fun is it to have a guest if you can't get to know them a little better while they're hanging out with you??  So we asked Catherine to share a picture, so we have a face to put with the name and the gorgeous layouts and to answer just a few little questions so we can get to know what makes her "tick".

1. My full name is: Catherine Paturet
2. My best friend calls me:  Catherine

3. I scrap my children and my heritage photos because they inspire me

4. My favorite inspiration comes from: ? My children (and the pile of photos I have of them) and nature (especially for colors) are my main source of inspiration. Since I have quite grown up children, I am scanning all the photos I took of them when they were younger. I also love to look at magazines and galleries, online galleries are amazing sources of inspirational pages!

 

5. My computer is set up (where): in the family room downstairs where I have a wonderful view on the sea !

6. If I'm surfing the web I go check my e-mails and check my favorite digi sites and some of my fabulous creative team forums I belong to!

7. If I'm shopping I'm in Helsinki , probably at Stockham (Department store) but I don’t shop that often.

8. I've been scrapping digitally for 8 months.

9. My favorite element that I use on almost every layout is: Since I use many elements on my layouts I don’t have any favorite element but I will always use flowers, brushes, ribbons and staples.

10. My family consists of my wonderful hubby and my three gorgeous children aged 19,18 and 12.
11. Don't look, I'm having a little snack and it is: ‘Daim’, a Nordic snack made of chocolate and some kind of ‘nougatine’. Discovered itin Finland and love it!
12. My favorite travel destination is: The Pyrénées mountains (South of France)
13. My dream vacation is: visiting a new place or new country with my family
14. I (love) (hate) to journal.  Journaling is the hardest for me since I never know in which language to journal and I am having a hard time to journal about private matters on a layout that I know will be in a public gallery. I guess I am quite shy about having my thoughts or family matters being read by everyone. I really need to improve on that.

15. A movie that never fails to make me cry is: Terms of Endearment
16. If I'm not scrapping, I'm spending time with my family, or reading or doing some Nordic Walking.

17. It takes me many hours to complete a layout. I think I spend too much time on my pages, but that’s because I like to use lots of elements and also because I am a perfectionist! I always admire the simpler pages but have a hard time to achieve that style, I always need to add more! Most of my pages have more than 50 layers. I spend a lot of time working on my photos and (now that I now how to do my shadows) on my shadows. I also like when I start a new page to try something new like a new type of effect on my pic, some blending, brush work, text on a path so I also take time to do some research for a good tutorial.

 

18. When I was ten, I saw myself as:a PE teacher

19. My biggest scrap success has been: I have had many times to rejoice lately about some scrapping success : my fifth place (in points) in the SUAS contest, being sweet treat of the month at SSD in October , having 2 pages being published in DSM and being a guest goddess at SA, which allows me to be part of a the fabulous SA team.

 

20. A little known fact about me is: I am a diet coke addict!  I can drink several glasses of it per day.

21. I'm famous in my family for: having the hiccup too often (at least twice a day)
