Mojo Monday - Spice up your Titles

Hi everyone! Hope you all had an awesome weekend creating memories with your families.

It’s time for another mojo Monday challenge and this week, I challenge you to spice up your titles. Oftentimes, page titles catch the reader’s attention and draws her into your layout. Other than coming up with witty titles, another way to spice up your page title is to insert an element to replace a letter.

In my example here, I used a flower in place of the letter “O”.

And in Lea’s page, she used buttons instead.

Here are some other ideas:

- Use a christmas tree in place of the letter “T” in your Christmas title

- Use a heart to replace the “O” in Love

- Use a star to replace the “A” in Rockstar

 

So, let’s go and get the creative juices flowing. I’m sure you can come up with other ideas! Get those ideas onto your scrapbook pages and share them by uploading them to the Mojo Monday gallery. I’m excited to see what you come up with!

Mojo Monday - April 28th

It's Kathy here with another Mojo Monday!

Today I'd like you to go through some old photos, and scrap a photo of "little" you.  We want to see you as a wee one.  I had so much fun going through a box of old photos my Mom had stored away.  It is amazing the memories that come flooding back when you take the time to look through pictures from your past.  Here are some childhood photos our creative team found....so sweet!

Mojo Monday {4.21}

Happy Mojo Monday to you fellow Scrap Artists! I’m thrilled to bring you this week’s challenge. This week, we draw inspiration from this web ad from CostPlus World Market.

 

I’ve noted down some things that caught my eye and inspired me to create this layout. Those were my starting points but as you can see, my layout kinda went a different direction in terms of color and framing.

My challenge to you is to create a LO based on the inspiration piece I’ve given. You are free to be inspired and interpret the piece any way you want. That’s the beauty of art, right? To inspire you even more and help in your creative process, Hope of Paper Relics designs is generously sharing these borders and banners. These were creatively inspired by our challenge too.

Mojo Monday - April 14th

Good Morning... It's Laurie Ann here; i'm hosting Mojo Monday so grab you're cup of coffee or tea and come play!  Oh I just NEED to tell you that the winner of this weeks Mojo will receive the SAKURA Kit from our new designer girls Bohemian Art!  Thanks girls for this generous gift...

Okay, today's Mojo wil be as simple as following a recipe.  I know you'll enjoy doing this because I did when I created my sample layout!  Follow these simple steps and get you're groove on...

Laurie Ann's Mojo Monday Layout RECIPE:
1) use 1 solid paper
2) use 3 pattern papers
3) use something as a FRAME that isn't a frame! example: cutting out the middle of a large flower and adding your photo under it.
4) use 2 fonts
5) use 1 alpha
6) use 3 photos {2 in black and white 1 in color} feel free to use the SAME photo 3 times and/or blending is okay too!
7) use no more than 3 or 4 elements {example: a button, stitches, a doodle etc.} okay to use staples without counting as an element.

Happy Monday, everyone! 

For this Mojo Monday I'm going to have you thinking in shapes.    I was recently looking through my layouts, and realized I very rarely use different shapes in my layouts.  I thought it would be fun to create some layouts with a bunch of different shapes.  So....that is my challenge for all of you...get your shapes thinking cap on, and start scrapping!  Here are a few layouts from our ct members to give you some ideas:

March 31st - Mojo Monday

Looking for your lost mojo? Wanting badly to try your creativity? So, join me on this week´s Mojo Monday!

Do you know what synesthesia is? Our goal is to mix two sensations and create a LO about it! Wanna try? So, think about your favorite song. Now, realize which feelings does it bring. Do you visualize any color now? The hearing of a few notes probably induced it! 

Don´t loose that thought: now, you need to scrap about your favorite song in this color. Smart, huh? Scrapbooking is all about sensations and feelings and it´s a good thing to keep connected with them. Can´t wait to see what you´ll come up with!

March 24th - Mojo Monday

Good morning, everyone!  It's Kathy here bringing you another idea to kick start your mojo this week.

I am a girly girl at heart.  If there is a new beauty product on the market, I'll be the first in line to try it (lol)!  I am all about making yourself feel as good as you possibly can.  I don't wear make-up everyday, but I NEVER leave the house without my lip gloss!  Do you have favorite beauty products, or make-up that makes you feel good?  I know I'm not the only girly girl out there....fess up?  We girls need to stick together, and if we can share some beauty tips along the way, even better.  I can't wait to see all of your beauty secrets.  Here are a few layouts to give you some ideas:

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Kim (kim1) here with my very first Mojo Monday challenge as a Creative Goddess!

My theme first started out as an ode to the "kiss me, I'm Irish!" buttons people would wear on St. Patrick's Day, because everyone was an honorary Irish-person on March 17th.  However, we all love kisses, right? So why not just leave it at that? Do a layout with some kind of kiss in it; could be you puckering up for the camera (like my LO), kissing your kids, smooching your pet...whatever!
